Secondary Physics Teacher
Santiago Christian School seeks an experienced Physics Teacher to help build a STEM program that can serve as an example and resource in a country that ranks 133 out of 137 in math and science education (World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Report, 2017-2018). Successful candidates can implement Next Generation Science Standards with hands-on inquiry-based labs and activities in the area of Physics. The Physics Teacher will support the goal of igniting students’ passion for discovery, critical thinking, and engaging the world through science as a reflection of its Creator. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree as well as evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. Teacher certification and two years of experience is preferred, and previous experience in an international school is a plus. Basic understanding of Spanish is helpful, but not required.
Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Santiago Christian School is seeking an innovative and Christ-centered Director of Curriculum and Instruction. This leader will provide overall direction for academic programs, ensuring they align with the school’s mission and educational philosophy. The Director will manage curriculum development, maintain academic standards, and ensure the effective implementation of educational programs that foster both academic excellence and spiritual growth.
The Director will lead curriculum review and development in collaboration with divisional principals and faculty, supervise student support programs (special education, ESL, and SSL), and oversee biblical worldview integration throughout the curriculum. Additionally, this role includes managing school accreditation reporting to ensure compliance with both Dominican and U.S. standards. The Director will analyze data to assess curriculum effectiveness, lead professional development for educators, manage the Student Information System, support technology integration, and ensure standardized testing informs curriculum decisions. Finally, the Director will oversee student academic records to ensure compliance with all legal and accreditation requirements.
Development and Alumni Relations Manager
Santiago Christian School is seeking a dynamic and energetic Development and Alumni Relations Manager. The Development and Alumni Relations Manager will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program designed to provide significant contributed income to Santiago Christian School. In addition, this position is responsible for alumni relations and will take leadership in developing an alumni association with related activities to promote alumni engagement with the SCS community. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business management or public relations, and previous experience in a school setting is preferred. Strong communication skills with fluency in English and Spanish is also required. Successful candidates will be able to clearly communicate the mission and vision of Santiago Christian School to alumni and the broader community.
Elementary Teacher
SCS is seeking individuals who love students, love Jesus, and are committed to academic excellence. The individual should be a fluent English speaker with a degree in elementary education, a U.S. state teacher certification/licensure, and evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. Candidates must be relationally focused and have the necessary skills to work in a team-based, professional learning community. Successful candidates understand or have experience with English as a Second Language immersion strategies in the classroom. Two years of experience is preferred, and previous teaching experience in an international school setting is a plus. Basic understanding of Spanish is helpful, but not required.
