HS students team up with US students in activity for Caminito de Jesus

Last week a group of our high school students teamed up with a group from Illiana Christian High School to share with students at Caminito de Jesus, one of our partner schools. While their purpose was to serve as translators, they "jumped" into action and engaged with the other students. SCS students interacted with both American and Dominican students in games and activities geared to build relationships. The joy and enthusiasm of the students at Caminito was evident by the big smiles on their faces. "It was nice to see the students at Caminito playing together, encouraging each other and even attempting to communicate with the American students in English" said Margaret Beard a 10th grade volunteer.
