SCS seeks enthusiastic, student-centered, teachers who have a heart for middle school students. Our middle school team works collaboratively to pour into our students to make them confident and kind Christ-followers, as well as inquisitive and engaged learners. Candidates should be native English speakers with a degree in education, a U.S. state teacher certification/licensure, and have experience with English as a Second Language immersion strategies in the classroom. Candidates must have evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment and a desire to use education as a ministry for reaching and encouraging both believing and non-believing students. Candidates with multiple areas of certification and/or experience are highly desired. We are looking for the following positions for our middle school team:
· Science: Successful candidates can implement Next Generation Science Standards with hands-on inquiry-based labs and activities across the various scientific disciplines. The science teacher will support the goal of igniting students’ passion for discovery, critical thinking, and engaging the world through science as a reflection of the Creator.
· Math: SCS is looking for a math teacher who will able to engage students in critical thinking about math, inspire them with its relevance, and point them to the Creator of the order and structure that sustains life.
· English Language Arts: The ideal candidate will be able to integrate Biblical concepts and challenge student thinking about universal themes found across various genres and types of writing while helping students improve in their English language ability.
· Bible: SCS prioritizes spiritual formation and seeks an experienced teacher who will integrate Biblical concepts into meaningful and relevant discussions that will engage and challenge middle school students. Educators who have creative approaches to facilitate active participation will be prioritized.
SCS seeks an experienced, student-centered high school English language arts teacher. The individual should be a native English speaker with a degree in education, a U.S. state teacher certification/licensure, and have experience with English as a Second Language immersion strategies in the classroom. The candidate must have evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment and a desire to use education as a ministry for reaching and encouraging both believing and non-believing students. English language and literature at SCS are taught using the Common Core State Standards across grades 9-12. The preferred candidate has experience in standards-driven planning and assessment, embraces current best educational practices, engages students with a biblical worldview, and integrates technology into teaching, learning and assessment. Two years of experience and previous international teaching experience are preferred.
Santiago Christian School seeks a visionary special education educator with leadership skills to assume a role as Coordinator of a growing program. Qualified candidates will be able to identify and evaluate at-risk students, communicate effectively with parents, lead a small team of special education teachers, and share expertise with classroom teachers regarding the moderate-need students in our primarily full-inclusion model program. Requirements for this position include a master's degree in special education and teacher certification/licensure. At least five years of teaching experience and intermediate Spanish proficiency are preferred. The ideal candidate will love Christ, love all sorts of students, and be committed to Christian education as a vocation.

Basic understanding of Spanish is helpful, but not required. Candidates must have an education degree with a US state teacher license to accompany their ESL/ELL/TESOL certification, as well as evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. Two years of experience is preferred and previous international teaching experience is a plus. We pay a basic salary, adequate for local living, with benefits upon signing a three-year commitment.
SCS is seeking candidates for the positions of Early Childhood Education (PK3 through Kinder) Associate Teacher and Elementary (Grades 1 through 4) Associate Teacher. Candidates will have evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. The Associate Teacher will have a bachelor’s degree and possess or be working toward a Dominican teaching credential. The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing using English language is required. The Associate Teacher will work closely with the Lead Teacher to assist in the education of students in a warm and nurturing environment.
