What's this about?
One Day of Giving is a chance for our SCS family to come together as one, and contribute towards one of the most sensitive issues that all educational organizations face in our time: Security & Safety. We're giving everyone a chance to get involved and be a part of the evolution and revamping of our entire security system, in light of the need to keep up with a growing trend of safety concerns for students and staff members of not only our institution, but all educational organizations nationwide.
Why should I give?
SCS is a non-profit organization, founded by US missionaries back in 1967. This year marks our 50th anniversary and, just as it was in the beginning, the mission has remained the same: to form Personas Integras who reflect Jesus in character, wisdom and influence. Since the school is not privately owned and we don't receive funds from investors, we rely solely on the income from our tuition & fees, and the support from donors around the world.
SCS' co-founders' vision at the beginning was to put all the money left over after each year back into the school to advance its many projects and this has stayed true to this day. Just last year we inaugurated a state-of-the-art academic building that will serve as a platform for a more adequate learning environment for a big part of our student-base, and we plan on continuing with the advancement of our infrastructure with our next big project, the reconstruction of the school cafeteria.
But understanding that security is a pressing issue that has to be dealt with, we have decided to undertake this project and reach out to all of you, our SCS family & friends.
